Qualifications:
Ph.D. in chemistry or equivalent is required, postdoctoral experience preferred. Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.
Responsibilities:
Excellence in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level is expected. Research in radiochemistry with applications to biomedical, environmental, forensics or other fields that complement the current faculty in the department. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in inorganic, analytical chemistry and/or physical chemistry. Teaching duties may include upper division undergraduate lectures and laboratory courses, and graduate lecture courses. Some teaching in general and/or introductory chemistry may be required. The successful candidate will develop a robust research program engaging primarily undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) students. Candidate must demonstrate awareness and experience understanding the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation – through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: August, 2019
