The University of Missouri Research Reactor Center (MURR) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work on projects related to radiochemistry and radiopharmaceutical development. Candidates should have Ph.D. training in radiochemistry, inorganic chemistry or similar field, preferably completed within the past five years. The successful candidate will work on radiometal chelation systems synthesis and labeling of molecular probes, such as peptides and nanoparticles, for applications in diagnostic imaging and targeted radiotherapy of disease and/or infection. The candidate will publish research findings and participate in grant writing. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in an interdisciplinary setting are essential. Experience in working with radioactive materials is desirable but not necessary. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funding.
