Research Faculty Position in Radiochemistry – Hunter College (CUNY)

Hunter College of the City University of New York is seeking applications for a Research Associate to conduct research in Radiochemistry and to assist Hunter faculty members in Radiochemistry Research. The Radiochemistry Research Associate (RA) will interface with the laboratories of Hunter College Chemistry and other science faculty and faculty at partnering institutions within and outside of New York City to facilitate interdisciplinary research projects that possess a component of radiochemistry and/or molecular imaging.

The RA will have a strong background in radiochemistry to facilitate application of radiochemistry and contribute to the multidisciplinary projects of Hunter College and partnering institutions. The Radiochemistry Research Associate will assist in the design of radiochemistry experiments for research projects, and will work with students and their mentors to implement these experiments.

The Radiochemistry Research Associate will provide the appropriate radiation safety training for Hunter College students, staff, and faculty and will work with the Enviomental Health and Safety Office to assure compliance of established protocols and safety regulations. The RA will maintain specialized radiochemistry instrumentation at Hunter College. The RA will set up teaching laboratories for radiochemistry and molecular imaging courses.

The RA will have strong communication skills and will be responsible for report writing, manuscript writing, and proposal writing.
