NUCL Business Meeting

Dear NUCL members,

Given the format of the Fall ACS meeting, we were unable to hold our NUCL Business Meeting at that time.  Therefore, I invite all members to participate in our virtual NUCL Business meeting on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. EST (6:00 p.m. CST/5:00 p.m. MST/4:00 p.m. PST). This is an informational session to provide details on programming, budget, and related news to our members.  For this meeting, we will also be conducting a listening session for our members to provide insight and guidance on the future of the NUCL division. We strongly encourage students and postdoctoral scholars to attend.  As a bonus, we will also have a prize to give away for one lucky participant!

The zoom information is given below.  NOTE: You will need the passcode below to join the meeting.

Bylaws Changes – June 29 Voting Deadline

The Division has recently updated the bylaws in a major revision to meet ACS requirements.  Some sections have been split and renumbered, and many updates have occurred in the text to meet ACS requirements while still keeping the spirit of the old bylaws intact.  However, many sections have been added to meet ACS requirements, and those additions require a vote by the division membership. The deadline for this vote is June 29, 2019.

The OLD Bylaws can be found under the Governance submenu in the left menu on the website.

Join NUCL

The ACS has developed video clips to encourage members to join technical divisions. The video clip for the NUCL division features Graham Peaslee, NUCL Councilor and Professor of Experimental Nuclear Physics, University of Notre Dame.
